Jet2 puts almost 470,000 ski seats on sale for winter 2027/28

Jet2.com has opened sales for almost 470,000 seats on its winter 2027/28 ski-flight programme, covering 43 routes from 12 UK airports. Flights are due to begin in December 2027 and continue through the winter.

The airline will serve Chambéry, Grenoble, Geneva, Innsbruck, Lyon, Salzburg, Turin and Verona. Together, these airports provide access to resorts across the French, Austrian, Swiss and Italian Alps, including the Dolomites.

The programme includes Saturday and Sunday departures alongside weekday flights. Some gateways will have twice-daily weekend services, giving skiers alternatives to a Saturday-to-Saturday trip.

Jet2 said it had opened bookings early because customers were already planning for the 2027/28 season. “With skiers and snowboarders already looking ahead to Winter 27/28, we have responded by launching another exciting ski programme for next winter,” CEO Steve Heapy said in the airline’s launch announcement.

Geneva gets the widest UK network

Geneva will be served from 11 of the 12 UK bases, making it the most widely available gateway in the programme. Flights will operate from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International.

Leeds Bradford and London Stansted will each have up to seven Geneva services a week, including twice-daily flights on Saturdays and Sundays. Manchester gets up to six weekly flights, while Birmingham and Gatwick each have up to four. Geneva provides access to French and Swiss resorts including Flaine, Tignes, Verbier, Zermatt and the Three Valleys, although transfer times vary substantially by resort and traffic.

Manchester has the broadest destination choice, with flights to all eight gateways. Its schedule includes up to three weekly services to Chambéry and Innsbruck, up to two for Grenoble and Turin, and Saturday flights to Lyon, Salzburg and Verona.

Birmingham will have more than 56,000 seats across six gateways, which the airport describes as its biggest Jet2 ski programme to date. Chambéry will operate on Saturdays and Sundays, while Geneva gets Thursday and Sunday flights plus two Saturday departures. Grenoble, Innsbruck and Salzburg receive Saturday services, with Turin flying on Sundays.

London Gatwick will serve Chambéry, Geneva, Grenoble, Salzburg and Turin. London Stansted gets the same five-airport network with Innsbruck replacing Turin, including a recently added weekly Saturday service to the Tyrolean city. Gatwick’s Grenoble schedule rises to three weekly flights, with two Sunday departures.

Edinburgh will have six gateways, including Verona for access to the Dolomites and Turin for the western Italian Alps. Bristol gets weekly Saturday flights to Chambéry and Geneva, with a Saturday Innsbruck route also included. Newcastle will serve the two French gateways plus Geneva, while Belfast International has a weekly Saturday service to Salzburg.

Chambéry appears from eight UK airports and is the most direct gateway in this programme for resorts around the Tarentaise, including Courchevel. Grenoble is offered from Birmingham, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle, with onward access to areas such as Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes.

Salzburg flights will depart from seven UK bases and serve Austrian areas including Kaprun, Mayrhofen and Obertauern. Verona operates from Edinburgh and Manchester, while Lyon is limited to a weekly Saturday flight from Manchester.

Jet2 includes 10kg of hand baggage as standard. Hold luggage and ski carriage can each weigh up to 22kg, but both are chargeable, so travellers comparing fares will need to include equipment fees in the final cost.
